New York Therapeutic Communities, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation which provides substance abuse treatment services in the criminal justice system. Our mission is to help program participants effect those changes in attitude and behavior that will enable them to make choices associated with a healthy, positive lifestyle free of crime and drugs.
Our two in-prison Stay'n Out programs
offer comprehensive substance abuse treatment for incarcerated
men and women in the
New York State correctional system and assist
in their preparation for release back into society.
Our two Serendipity residential programs
in Brooklyn provide specialized community-based
treatment services for men and women as
a means of reintegration into society,
and also serve as an
alternative-to-incarceration.
The Probation Ambulatory Programs,
under the auspices of the New York City
Department of Probation,
offer ambulatory (out-patient) substance
abuse treatment for persons 18 or over,
as well as support services for adolescent
probationers.
